Abstract

This study aims to analyze effect the learning model of Ethno-pedagogy Education for Sustainable Development (Ethno-ESD) to improve sustainable attitudes of students in the higher education. The Ethno-ESD approach combines aspects of Ethno- pedagogy with education for sustainable development, with an emphasis on developing social awareness and environmental responsibility. The research method used is critical analysis through case studies in several higher education institutions. Research instruments include class observation, interviews with teachers, and data collection through questionnaires for students. The collected data is analyze using triangulation to ensure the validity of the results. The results of the study were able to provide deep insight into the effectiveness of the Ethno-ESD learning model in changing student attitudes toward aspects of sustainability. The implications of this research can provide guidance for the development of more effective learning strategies in higher education contexts to encourage awareness and ongoing responsibility among students. © 2025 Malque Publishing.
