Optimization of human resource information system (SINERGI) using black-box testing method as website-based human resource management learning media

Abstract

The study aimed to develop a learning media of human resource information system (HRIS) as a learning innovation in Human Resource Management (HR) under the name of SINERGI, which is follow-up research according to the research roadmap. This year, the research stages were carried out from March to August 2024 in Yogyakarta. The research was a Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects were students who were or had taken the HR management course. The data collection techniques were questionnaires and analysis of the SINERGI system functionality with the black box testing method. The developmental procedure was evaluation. The trial test of the SINERGI information system used the testing method (black-box testing), which was to test the functionality of 3 levels of users, super admin, manager, and employee. The test used black box testing with a total of 68 tests. 5 tests were invalid or unsuccessful, so the percentage of success was 92.65%. Based on the validity test, the Sinergi website obtained a score of 86.02% for the super admin level, 85.52 for the manager level, and 88.31 for the employee level. Thus, the Sinergi website is considered very valid or very feasible for use as a learning media. © 2025 Author(s).
