The purpose of this development research is to obtain: 1) A prototype of the face recognition application system to identify faces needed in the learning process. 2) Performance of the face recognition system as a face recognition application system. Measurement and data collection were conducted during the learning process. Face recognition/detection was conducted using a camera connected to the application system. The instruments used were functional testing questionnaires and UI/UX testing questionnaires. The analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis are then used to interpret or diagnose the results of recognition/detection. The results of the research obtained; 1) prototype/model of the face recognition system, in the form of an android-based face recognition system application classified the face recognition/detection into three classifications, those are: a) passionate face category marked to a green box; b) less-passionate face category marked to a yellow box; and c) sleepy face categories marked to a red box. 2) Performance of the Face Recognition System as a Face Identification System in the Learning Process. The performance value based on the results of the analysis obtained: a) the feasibility rate of face detection is 78.57% with a good/high category. b) The functional feasibility of the system is 100% with a very good/high category. c) UI/UX test results with an average score of 1.51 are in the good category. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc..
