Substantial numbers of Wood Sandpiper Tringa glareola were recorded during shorebird surveys conducted between 2007 to 2013 at Pantai Trisik, Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. The highest number recorded was approximately 1,390 individuals on 16 September 2012. This number exceeds the 1% population threshold for the species in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway and suggests Pantai Trisik is a potentially important site internationally for Wood Sandpiper in Indonesia. © 2014, Stilt.
