Abstract

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is used as a model to conduct learning in class that facilitating students to solve problems. The aim is to review journals related to PBL through bibliometric analysis. The first step is to use the input keywords "Problem-Based Learning"or "PBL"or "Problem-based Learning"in the Scopus database search column. The VOSviewer software is used as a tool to analyze Scopus data results. On June 13, 2022, this analysis found 136 documents from 2000 to 2022. The results of this study show that the United States is the most productive country in the field of PBL, along with related authors and institutions. Based on keywords in PBL research from 2016 to the present, PBL in the field of science education has the opportunity to be studied further, such as PBL to improve 21st century skills. The implication of the research is that the research in the field of PBL can still be carried out, especially in Indonesia. Apart from that, based on keywords, PBL research topics in science education have great opportunities for future exploration. © 2025 Author(s).
