The aims of this research were to describe geometry literacy of lower grade elementary school through Ethnomahematics at Borobudur Temple, as well as to describe the result. This research was a descriptive qualitative research with Case Study type. Methods of data collection that were used were observation and interview. The subjects of the study were three students who were lower grade elementary students (grade 1, 2 and 3). In this study, data analysis performed was descriptive analysis. Data that was analyzed in the research was the result of interviews conducted by researchers on the subject of research. The results of the research showed that the lower grade elementary students had good literacy ability especially in the material of square, rectangle and triangle through ethnomatematics at Borobudur Temple. © 2019 IJSTR.
