Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and determine the potential hazards in coastal tourism activities in Ternate City. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive. The results of the research found prove that Ternate City has potential hazards in coastal tourism activities. The potential hazards are in the form of Tsunamis, Abrasion, changes in ocean currents, Mount Gamalama eruptions, and environmental damage. Ternate City has many potential dangers that can threaten tourists. There needs to be disaster mitigation and the dissemination of potential hazards found in Ternate City, especially in tourism objects. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
