The physical education teachers' active role also affects the low level of elementary school students' movement skills. The aim of the study was to find out the game strategies in strengthening physical education teachers' role to improve students' manipulative motion skills selection for upper-class elementary school students because of the ease of research and conformity of research purposes. The research was conducted at the public elementary school and it was located in the Ngemplak sub-district. The researcher developed the instrument relevant of manipulative game instrument to measure elementary school students' manipulative skills; the instrument was more focused on manipulative assessment (throwing, catching, and kicking). The study used an experimental quasi-design, consisting of 48 upper-class students divided into control groups and experimental groups. This study was conducted in five elementary schools in Ngemplak Subdistrict. Manipulative motion skills tests were given as pre-tests and post-test. To analyze the data, independent and paired t-tests were used at a .05 significance level. The results showed that the experimental group students had higher scores on both dependent variables than the control group. This suggests that manipulative play significantly improves the experimental group of manipulative motion skills compared to students in the control group. © 2021 by authors, all rights reserved.
