Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not distance learning affects the independence of students during a pandemic to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia which uses quantitative research. The subjects of this study were upper-class elementary school students in the coastal and mountainous areas of Malang Regency, Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire instrument which analysis with descriptive data analysis and regression with IBM SPSS Statistic 20. The result of this study shows that there is a significant effect of distance learning on the learning independence of students in public elementary schools in the coastal and mountainous areas of Malang Regency, Indonesia. © 2020 IEEE.
