Blockchain technology has emerged as the gateway to new and innovative opportunities in various sectors-including literature. The idea - and value - of decentralized storytelling, and the role of blockchain in the puzzle of how to preserve and distribute literary work. Let's start, a brief example of the platform and how it works to help readers understand these arguments about the literature being published by centralized entities, which can be quite problematic, such as: censorship, copyright infringement, or limited access for creators. Contrarily, the decentralized nature of blockchain offers a solution to this problem as it provides transparency, immutability, and better copyright protection. There are decentralized platforms that use blockchain technology to allow authors to directly publish their works, exposing their contents to a global audience without the need for third-party intermediaries. NFT ensures royalty payments through smart contracts, so you get a fair share of sales. The decentralised nature of blockchain also guarantees that literary heritage is preserved for the future and cannot be altered or deleted without consent. In this article, we will take a look at just a few of the many blockchain-based platforms and projects that are revolutionising the literary landscape and making it more fair and accessible for storytellers around the world.
