Asking questions is one of the prospective teacher competencies in the micro teaching course. The type of asking questions that was important to develop in preliminary activities is a trigger questions. In this quantitative descriptive study conducted with 40 prospective teachers, trigger questions would be analyzed through learning videos that have been compiled by prospective teacher mathematics. The construction of trigger questions was identified based on 10 types of questions. The results of this studied shows that the mostly construction of trigger questions are designed by prospective mathematics teacher is the closed interpretation questions type. © 2022 Author(s).
