The aim of this study is to examine how the scientific approach to the STAD cooperative environment becomes an effective strategy that makes student achievement and motivation possible for teachers. A literature review with a cumulative review type is the type of research used with steps such as: choosing a topic related to the scientific approach with a cooperative STAD setting, selecting articles and books that have criteria related to the topic and the last 10 years that have been selected as a theoretical basis based on expert opinion. A comparison between the scientific approach and the scientific approach of the STAD cooperative setting is the basis of the integration process in this study. The results of this study are positive verifiers, indicating that the integration approach is more easily adapted by the teacher because the teacher learning process provides the students with the material more easily. As for the steps of a cooperative scientific approach, STAD is material in the form of real problems that can be observed, grouping students to guide and trigger student questions, monitoring group discussions to collect information, evaluating individual quizzes, and communicating the results of the evaluation to obtain group awards. Then it can be inferred, based on different presentations of relevant study findings, that this method can be said to be successful. The scientific approach to the cooperative environment of STAD can be used by teachers as a strategy to enhance student achievement and motivation. In addition, it can be used by teachers to build the knowledge of students efficiently and effectively. © 2022 Author(s).
