The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical reasoning of prospective teachers in proving trigonometric subjects. In this qualitative descriptive study conducted on 60 prospective teaching mathematics. The reasoning instrument in proof is divided into two, namely the question of understanding the proof and constructing the proof. The assessment rubric consists of three aspects, namely readability, fluency, and validity. The validity aspect is a representation of reasoning. The results showed that there was no difference in reasoning that was shown in the acquisition of measurement results on the understanding the proof questions and constructing the proof on trigonometric subjects. © 2022 Author(s).
