Abstract

This research aims to improve student retention strategies in Higher Education Institutions using the Multifactor Evaluation Process approach. The data collection method used in this research is literature study. Criteria or factors used for decision making as an effort to improve student retention strategies at Higher Education Institutions in this study, namely institutional image, academic services, learning skills, involvement in campus activities. This research resulted in an analysis of improving student retention strategies at Higher Education Institutions using the Multifactor Evaluation Process method. Based on the results of this study, it is concluded that alternative A3 is the worst alternative, so it is chosen as the most recommended alternative to be followed up first in improving student retention strategies at Higher Education Institutions. © 2026 Author(s).
