Abstract

The objective of this research are to create an Android-based mobile learning science media that is feasible for increasing students' learning motivation based on expert assessment, as well as to determine the effectiveness of Android-based mobile learning science media in improving the learning motivation of junior high school students. This research is a type of Research and Development. The subjects of this study were 30 students from Class VII B SMPN 1 Wonosari. Instruments to validate the construction and content of learning media by experts used a validation sheet and to measure learning motivation used a learning motivation questionnaire sheet. Based on expert assessment, android-based mobile learning science learning media is feasible to increase students' learning motivation with a very feasible category, and android-based mobile learning science learning media was effective to significantly increase the learning motivation of junior high school students with a paired sample t-test of 0.000 and an N-gain score of 0.703 that belongs to the high category. From this, we can conclude that Android-based mobile science learning media can be used to motivate junior high school students to learn. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc..
