Labwork activities which are part of the chemistry learning process require alternative solutions in the era of online learning. This study attempted to analyze students' motivation and Adversity Quotient (AQ) at the beginning and end of the online labwork activity through Technology assisted Labwork that called Chemistry Labwork Video (CLV). A pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design was adapted in this research. The independent variable in this research was an implementation of CLV, meanwhile, the dependent variable that measured was the Students' Online Labwork Motivation (SOLM) and Students' Adversity Quotient (SAQ). There was a group of students (N=26) applied the CLV. The nonprobability convenience sampling technique was chosen in this research. Closed questionnaires of SOLM (σ = 30 items) and SAQ (σ = 20 items) were adapted as a non-test instrument using five Likert scales. The validity of the SOLM and SAQ was conducted by two step: the theoretical through asking judgment of the experts in the fields of psychology and education, and empirical validity in total of 56 non-sample students. Alpha Cronbach's reliability estimate of SOLM and SAQ instrument were 0.782 and 0.766. The Wilcoxon test was used to explores the difference of SOLM and SAQ before and after CLV implementation. In the confidence level 95%, overall, there are any difference on the SOLM and SAQ. However, based on the descriptive statistics analysis, it does not mean that these differences are for the better. Students' motivation and persistence in participating in CLV implementation has decreased. © 2023 Author(s).
