Abstract

This research focuses on developing an android-based shock detector as a medium for learning potential and kinetic energy. The development using the facilitations at the smartphone as it has accelerator and gyroscope sensors. Every smartphone has accelerator and gyroscope sensors. The sensor detects acceleration in the movement and position of the smartphone when it rotates. Using the formulation of s = V/t, whereas V = A/t so s = A/t2, the application was built. This application will detect the changing position and the shocks happen in the vehicle. The application is equipped with an alarm that will warn the driver that a shock has occurred or a dangerous position has occurred. The application also contains settings page to set the shock limit value. © 2023 Author(s).
