Attitude is an important factor in understanding mathematics. This study aims to investigate the relationship between attitudes and school quality to student's mathematics achievement in Indonesia using PISA 2018 data. The multilevel analysis showed that student gender, student behavior, parental role and quality school were statistically significant predictors of students' mathematics achievement. Moreover, the student attendance, the student attention, the role of parents and quality of human resources had a positive relationship with the student's mathematics achievement but not with the self-confidence. © 2023 Author(s).
