The development of motorized vehicle technology is growing over the time. The Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) still dominates motorized vehicles. ICE is a machine that produces work using the combustion products of a mixture of fuel and oxygen. In this case, the piston becomes the heart of the ICE. The piston has a very important function in carrying out the engine work cycle and in generating combustion power. In this paper, a comprehensive review of pistons from the natural study is presented. This is to be able to enrich the knowledge of natural science content that is applicable in technology in everyday life such as motor vehicles. © 2023 Author(s).
