Introduction. Physical activity ineducationshouldbe tailoredto students’nature to allowthemtodeveloptheirpotentialwithoutfacing challenges.The educational approachatthe elementary school levelfundamentallydiffers fromthatofhigher educational levels. Elementary educationprioritizes engaging andstraightforwardlearning experiences. Aim. This study aimedto identify challenges facedwhenlearning artistic gymnastics at the elementary school level. Method.This study employedadescriptive researchapproach, aiming to gather comprehensive informationabout a specific phenomenon.Inthis context,thephenomenonunder investigationis the experienceof elementary school students learning artistic gymnasticsmovements. Data collectionwas conductedusing aquestionnaire. The study sample comprised80elementary school students fromSlemanRegency. Result. The analysis revealedthatdifficulties inlearning artistic gymnastics inelementary schools canbe categorizedinto threeprimary elements: student-related,teacher-related, andinfrastructure-related.Outof80students:60reportednopersonaldif_iculties,45 indicateddifficultiesunderstanding teacher instructions,55statedno issues regarding infrastructure availability.It’s evidentfromthese findings thatteacher-relatedfactors significantly influence students’learning challenges. Conclusion. The analysis indicates thatoutofthe three elements identified,the teacher-relatedaspect requires themost attention, primarilybecause studentsoftenfoundit challenging to understandthe teacher’s instructions forperforming artistic gymnastics activities. © 2023, DJ Studio.
