Abstract

This research and development aims to: (1) develop an entrepreneurship-based vocational life skills learning model for automotive engineering education students; and (2) implement an entrepreneurship-based vocational life skills learning model for automotive engineering education students; (3) know the effectiveness and advantages of the model; and (4) implement the model. Research and development methods with Borg & Gall and learning strategy planning in model development using the Dick & Carey design. Based on the results of expert validation on: subject matter experts, learning design experts, graphic design experts all showed that the entrepreneurship-based vocational life skill strengthening learning model was feasible to use in the implementation of learning for students majoring in mechanical engineering. Likewise, the individual trials, small group trials and field trials showed the feasibility of the developed model and was in a good category. Meanwhile, in the effectiveness test, it can be concluded that the average value of learning outcomes taught using the entrepreneurship-based vocational life skills module is higher than the average value of learning outcomes taught using textbooks. © 2023 Author(s).
