The number of work accident cases in construction projects in Indonesia continues to increase every year. This work accident does not only cause casualties but also material for the company and workers. This shows that occupational safety and health is very important in the activities of a construction project. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing the level of risk in a construction work, risk control and the level of application of risk control in the field. Risk identification is carried out using Job Safety Analysis and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control approaches. After that, the risk is assessed for severity and likelihood, which is then assessed for risk level. Based on the results of the risk level assessment of the 3 jobs observed in the construction project of the Vocational Laboratory of Yogyakarta State University, Wates Campus Phase II, it shows that light brick laying work, plastering and plastering work and beam structure work are included in the extreme risk level. Meanwhile, the level of risk control implementation with a weighted percentage value of 78.74% based on company management variables, environment, health, safety, knowledge, and attitudes has been going well and effectively on this project. © 2023 Author(s).
