SolarSolar ice maker is one of the implementations of solarSolarenergyEnergy in productive use. In Indonesia, there are a lot of coastline areas with most people work in fishery aspect. The feasibility of solarSolar ice maker was studied in some areas of Indonesia which evaluated based on the techno-economical evaluation. Techno evaluation was performed by analyzing the solarSolar power prediction performance, renewable energyEnergy penetration, in-operated emission produced, and the system performance; while, the economical evaluation was seen from the Net Present Value (NPV), Investment Return Rate (IRR), and the deployment cost. In Java Island, the case study employed Kampung Mariuk, Sukabumi. While outside Java Island, the design is located in Tanjungbatu, East Borneo. Both locations utilized the same ice maker machine; the brine water cooling and direct cooling machine. Based on scenarios ranking, solarSolar ice maker system in Java Island is better using PV on-grid system, hybridHybrid system with batteryBattery backup, and hybridHybrid system with dieselDieselgeneratorGenerator. The on-grid system consisted by 16.2 kWp of PV; while hybridHybrid with the batteryBattery backup needs 25.2 kWp of PV and 20.16 kVAh batteryBattery VRLA; and the last is hybridHybrid with generatorGenerator backup needs 16.2 kWp and 10 kW of dieselDieselgeneratorGenerator to power the direct cooling ice maker system with DIP (Daily Ice Production) 1 ton capacity. Furthermore, the utilization of PV hybridHybrid system with batteryBattery storage as backup energyEnergy is feasible to apply in East Borneo, as case study for outside Java Island.
