Learning science is something unique. Why is it unique, because studying it requires many stages, one of which is a scientific process? The process consists of scientific attitudes, processes and produces products in the form of knowledge. In its application, science in schools should be done theoretically and procedurally. However, in reality, the practicum activities are constrained by the implementation of distance learning regulations and the shortage of lab equipment. The use of video instructions and modification of the whisper test is an innovation from the practicum design for distance learning, especially science subjects. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The purpose of this study was to describe student responses to the modified whisper test practicum and to describe a simple practicum that can be done in distance learning. The results of this study indicate that this practicum makes students interested in learning and finding out about vibration, waves, and sound materials. This activity is also considered simpler and does not require sophisticated equipment. © 2024 Author(s).
