Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to produce multiple intelligences-based learning kits that are (1) feasible and (2) effective for improving the creative character of fifth grade elementary school students. Methods: Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as using questionnaires and formative tests. The model feasibility data was analyzed using the content validity coefficient formula from Aiken's formula, and the second stage trial analysis used paired sample t-test analysis. Result and Conclusion: The results of the study: (1) the resulting learning device is feasible as a multiple intelligence-based learning tool to improve the creativity character of fifth grade elementary school students. (2) the resulting learning kits are effective as learning kits based on multiple intelligences to improve the creativity character of fifth grade elementary school students. The results of the small group and wide group test of fifth grade SD/MI students showed that there was a significant increase in student character, namely the character of student creativity, and an increase in multiple intelligences, namely interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalist intelligence. These results indicate that this research produces an effective multiple intelligences-based learning kits to improve the creativity character of fifth grade elementary school students. Research Implications: This research contributes this development research have implications for efforts to develop feasible and effective multiple intelligences-based learning tools. Some of these implications include, developing appropriate and effective learning tools can be done optimally through: 1) preliminary research and obtaining information, learning resources and learning theories that suit your needs, 2) drafting the best possible learning tools by paying attention to various aspects such as content., language, presentation, attractive illustrations or pictures, attractive cover and chapter design, use of simple sentences, 3) conducting feasibility tests on experts and target groups or users of the learning tools being developed. Originality/ Value: This study offers original insights into Elementary schools that implement multiple intelligences-based learning can use multiple intelligences-based learning tools developed by researchers as learning tools in elementary schools as an effort to improve multiple intelligences-based learning which so far has not been optimal. © 2024 ANPAD - Associacao Nacional de Pos-Graduacao e Pesquisa em Administracao.
