Abstract

This study explores teachers’ strategies in applying the Pancasila student profile for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in elementary schools through a narrative case study. The research subjects consisted of four teachers involvedwith children with ASD. This study was conducted at a private inclusive elementary school in Pekanbaru, Riau, and data were collected through class observation and in- depth interviews. The results highlight (a) the behavior and abilities of students with autism spectrum disorder; (b) the academic environment; and (c) the skills and qualities of teachers. Thus, teachers should personalize their teaching approaches when implementing the Pancasila student profile for students with ASD. This study also suggests the importance of teacher professional development so that they can be equipped with relevant competencies to inculcate Pancasila values in inclusive classrooms. © 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
