Pandemic Covid-19 has been decreasing since vaccination is widely injected across areas, in particular, in Yogyakarta. The teaching learning process shifted from online to offline and some are blended/hybrid learning modes. The objective of this research is to describe English language teaching which is conducted through Pembelajaran tatap Muka (PTM) as well as online teaching and learning in an Islamic-based vocational school in rural area. The researchers used qualitative design, in particular, case study to portray English language teaching and learning as well as its challenges. The result shows that teaching activities are in three phases - pre, while and post - with Moodle platform to help teacher and students in learning activities. Technology, time management as well as lesson planning are challenges revealed in English language teaching. © 2024 Author(s).
