The objectives of the study were to: (1) achieve an injection duration tailored to the needs of the engine, with power and torque results comparable to those specified in the Yamaha Vega Force FI standard; and (2) assess how changes in the injection duration mapping affected the vehicle's power and torque output. The process of mapping the injection duration consisted of the following steps: (1) an analysis of the needs involved in mapping the injection duration; (2) an operation of mapping using a problem-solving approach; (3) an analysis of the required tools and materials; and (4) plans for testing the power, torque, and fuel consumption of the mapped injection duration. The results of the power and torque tests conducted using a dynamometer suggested that the injection duration mapping for the third mapping generated the greatest power output, with the maximum power and torque produced being 0.4% and 24.3% greater than the standards for a conventional gasoline engine. The third mapping resulted in the highest value, with a bsfc of 229.35 gr/kWh, whereas the second mapping resulted in the lowest value, with a bsfc of 219.33 gr/kWh.
