The analysis of the data was performed using Constant Comparative analysis. Findings indicate that both universities are in the early stages of implementing Big Data. The significant initiative of the Big Data movement is evident in the developing of a data governance framework. Tools for Big Data are primarily utilised for descriptive analytics. Data is being increasingly leveraged for decision-making in areas such as academic performance, faculty publications, student admissions, and operational effectiveness.
