Abstract

This research aims at evaluating the feasibility of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart building training kit designed for practical learning at State Vocational High School 1 Sedayu (SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu). Employing a research and development approach guided by the ADDIE model, as proposed by Branch, the investigative framework encompasses sequential phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data were gathered through observation and questionnaires. The collected data underwent a descriptive analysis. The research outcomes indicate the high suitability of the Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart building training kit for teaching Electrical Lighting Installation Practices at State Vocational High School 1 Sedayu. Validation by material experts showed an impressive score of 94.02%, categorizing it as 'very feasible.' Similarly, validation by media experts resulted in a score of 92.36%, also placing it in the 'very feasible' category. Student assessments further affirmed this consensus, with a score of 87.84%, reinforcing the overall 'very feasible' classification of the developed IoT-based smart building training kit product. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc..
