Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with science teachers of class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Semarang, it was obtained that most of the teaching materials used in the Archimedes' law material are still printed teaching materials (student worksheets, modules and textbooks), PPT, and learning videos. The teaching materials available are not fully electronic, thus inhibiting students from accessing learning freely without space and time constraints. This of course hinders the improvement of students' numeracy skills so that the majority are still at a low level. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of STEM-based digital worksheet, examine the feasibility of STEM-based on digital student worksheet, analyze the increase in numeracy literacy after using STEM-based digital worksheet by implementing research and development method. This method can be used to develop teaching materials, namely digital student worksheet. The design of this digital worksheet development research is based on the Thiagarajan 4D model which includes the definition stage, design stage, development stage and distribution stage. The results of the study show that this digital student worksheet is designed interactively, contains elements of links, moving images, audio and video that can improve students' numeracy literacy skills. It is known that the assessment of the feasibility of digital student worksheet obtained a feasible criterion with a score of 0.85 (media) and 0.84 (material). The results of the N-gain test calculation revealed that in the experimental class using the developed digital student worksheet there was an increase with an average N-gain value of the numeracy literacy score reaching 0.64, falling into the moderate or effective category. On the other hand, in the control class using digital worksheet based on practical work, the average N-gain value of the students' numeracy literacy score was only 0.26, which was included in the low or less effective category. © 2026 Author(s).
